Everyday on the way home from picking up my son from school I hear this song where the female singer belts out “Dan Dan Dan, what I’d give to have you near, near, near. I wish you were here”. And everyday I think of my friend Marianna over at GreenMamasPad.com because she is the only person I know with a husband named Dan.
So today I caught up with her and told her exactly that. Here is our conversation via Google Chat:
11:20 PM me: Everytime I hear that new song “Dan” I think of you, cause you are the only one I know with a husband named Dan. At least I think that is his name?
11:21 PM Marianna: Yes it is his name. Who sings the song? I’ve never heard of it either. LOL. This is what happens when you don’t have cable and 4 children are running you ragged.
11:23 me: hold on I’ll look…still looking
Marianna: lol you don’t have to look.
me: no cause now it’s killing me
11:26 PM Marianna: 
me: OMG WTF!
Marianna: oh shit, what happened?
11:28 PM me: no I mean I can’t find the song, it’s on ALL THE TIME
11:30 PM me: Um…I feel really stupid right now like, REALLY stupid
Marianna: Why?
me: The song is by Avril Lavigne, it’s called Wish You Were Here and it actually says “Damn Damn Damn” LOLOLOLOL
Marianna: bahahahahahah. i frickin love you.
me: You are welcome. OMG though seriously. I feel like, so dumb. I kept thinking how odd it was that the song said Dan like that. I was all like, “Who is Dan”?
11:32 PM Marianna: LOL. Well maybe she just needs to sing clearer.
me: Yeah that’s it
11:33 PM Marianna: exactly
me: ExactLee!!!
11:34 PM Marianna: Dan, I should have caught that one.
me: Shut up! I’m so writing about this on my blog.
Marianna: lol. yay!
