Walt Disney Pictures Presents Wreck It Ralph In 3D Review!

Accepting others for who they are is a lesson the majority of us struggle to learn. Wreck It Ralph, presented by Walt Disney Pictures, is a heartwarming tale acted out by none other than video game characters. Ralph is the bad guy inside a game called Fix it Felix, Jr. where after a long hard work day, he yearns for friendship. However when he reaches out for it he is turned away. He decides he’ll go looking for it elsewhere which is how he winds up in another game called Sugar Rush.

In Sugar Rush Ralph meets Vanellope, a sweet little girl with a lot of attitude. She also has a bit of a problem, she’s a glitch. Glitches aren’t accepted because they are considered accidents waiting to happen. All Vanellope wants is a chance to race in the Sugar Rush Speedway but King Candy won’t allow it. When Ralph sees how the King and the other children treat her he decides to help her because he understands what it is like to want for something.

Of course there is much more to the story and plenty of other characters to keep you entertained, but you’ll have to see it for yourself. I can tell you that this movie gets two huge thumbs up from me. One of the best kids films I’ve seen to date. There is a lot of nostalgia for the parents such as Q*bert and Pac-man. It’s fun for the entire family.

In a year were movies like the avengers and the dark knight and the always present competition of Pixar, it would be crazy to consider an non-pixar animated film one of the best movies of the year. Well, it would have be crazy if not for Wreck it Ralph! It is easily the best animated film of the year and one of my all time favorites from Disney.

I first heard about it a while ago, and I found it pretty interesting, but I wasn’t expecting much. As a longtime gamer, I don’t have much hope for any video game centric movie. But once they released the first trailer and I saw it on ign, I jumped aboard the hype train. Seeing bowser, Doctor robotnik, M. Bison, and Kano to name a few in the movie seemed just amazing.

The film, to the uninitiated, the film is about Ralph( John C. Riely) and how he is tired of being the bad guy. Without giving away to much. He ends up going to the violent sci fi world of heroes duty, and the candy land/Mario kart world of sugar rush. It’s a movie full of heart, laughs, and wit and is a must see. I honestly can’t say I disliked anything about it.
